PETER FRANKLIN MASSAGE AND REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is based on the principle that all of the internal organs and other structures of the body are mirrored in the feet. By using a particular form of massage on the feet it is believed that problems with internal organs, such as the lungs, kidneys, stomach etc, can be alleviated. Reflexology can also be given on the hands. Although reflexology is considered much more of a clinical treatment for ailments, rather than a form of relaxation like massage, it is still, nevertheless, a pleasurable experience for most people. |
The treatment of specific ailments will usually require 4—6 sessions of reflexology, you will have a full consultation at the first session to determine your needs and discuss any possible contra-indications. I usually ask clients to keep a diary between treatments so that we can monitor the effects of the sessions. |
Clients are advised to wear loose legged trousers (or a skirt) that can be easily rolled up to the knee. Reflexology cannot be given if client is suffering any fungal infection, verrucas or warts. Alternatively, reflexology can be given on the hands. Calming music is played during the session and the room is scented with aromatherapy oils. |
